Encompass Community Supports is hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist to process agency bills, code them to funds, and manage vendor data in the accounting system. The role supports the Accounting Department and executes tasks under supervision in a nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of accounts payable experience.
• Employment contingent on background check (criminal, DMV, education, drug screening, reference check, OIG and SAM).

Responsibilities

• Prepares agency bills for payment (opens mail, sorts, and gets approvals).
• Codes bills to funds, aligning with the agency's budget.
• Assigns batch numbers, enters bills into system, ensures tapes balance.
