CliftonLarsonAllen (CLA) is seeking an Assistant Controller for our Nonprofit Accounting and Advisory Service (CAAS) Practice in Massachusetts. You will lead client accounting functions, support management reporting, and collaborate with clients to improve financial operations across multiple nonprofit organizations.

The role requires 6 years of nonprofit accounting experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong GAAP knowledge.

Qualifications

6 years of relevant accounting/financial experience.
Experience in nonprofit industry preferred.
Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
Proficiency with widely used accounting software.

Responsibilities

Perform Assistant Controller functions as part of the client accounting services team and manage these functions for your clients.
Act as a consultant and advisor to clients on best practices for accounting and finance engagements.
Provide project management by handling multiple clients, work, and deadlines.
Prepare and analyze client financial statements and provide recommendations.
Foster opportunities for clients and communities while staying current with accounting standards.
