Job summary

CliftonLarsonAllen is seeking an Assistant Controller for our Nonprofit Accounting and Advisory Service (CAAS) Practice. The role focuses on leading accounting functions for clients and advising on best practices in nonprofit finance.

You will manage multiple client projects, prepare financial statements, and help identify opportunities for clients and communities. Strong nonprofit experience and GAAP knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience required.
• Experience in Nonprofit Industry is strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is required; combination of related experience and training may be accepted.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP.

Responsibilities

• Perform Assistant Controller functions for the client's accounting services team.
• Act as a consultant and advisor on best practices for accounting and finance engagements.
• Provide project management by handling multiple clients, work, and deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze client financial statements and make recommendations.
• Foster and build opportunities for our clients, communities, and people.
• Attend industry events and training to stay current.
• Maintain knowledge of organizational policies, federal/state directives, and accounting standards.
