Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role covers day-to-day accounting for nonprofit clients, ensuring accurate, compliant financial operations.

You will manage GL maintenance, closings, reconciliations, and produce timely financial packages along with board-level reporting. The position supports audits and Form 990 filings, and involves client onboarding and delivering actionable financial guidance to leadership teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on nonprofit accounting experience helpful.
• Experience with financial reporting for nonprofits.
• Experience with Form 990 filings and audits advantageous.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger maintenance and monthly/quarterly/annual closings.
• Perform AP/AR reconciliations and produce timely financial packages.
• Prepare board-level reporting and financial statements.
• Support annual external audits and Form 990 filings.
• Assist with client onboarding and provide actionable financial guidance.
