Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role manages general ledger maintenance, closings, AP/AR reconciliations, and prepares financial packages for nonprofit clients.

You will support audits and Form 990 filings, onboard clients, and provide clear financial guidance to nonprofit leadership. The position supports remote, hybrid, or in-person work (eligible states) and is 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP knowledge and nonprofit accounting experience.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (analysis, modeling, and reconciliation).
• Experience working in a client-facing capacity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger maintenance and month-end closings (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Perform AP/AR reconciliations and produce timely financial packages and board-level reporting.
• Support annual external audits and Form 990 filings.
• Assist with client onboarding and provide actionable financial guidance to client leadership teams.
