Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role serves as day-to-day trusted accountant for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, ensuring financial operations run smoothly, accurately, and compliantly.

You will manage general ledger maintenance, close monthly/quarterly/annual books, perform AP/AR reconciliations, and prepare financial packages and board reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Curious, framework-oriented problem solver with attention to detail.
• Excellent relationship-building with nonprofit leaders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers and perform regular closings (monthly/quarterly/annual).
• Execute AP/AR reconciliations and produce financial packages.
• Prepare board-level reporting and assist with external audits and Form 990 filings.
• Support client onboarding and provide actionable financial guidance to leadership.
