Job summary

O'Neal Steel is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and operate non-thermal processing equipment according to procedures. You will read blueprints, handle diverse material equipment, and ensure high-quality output for internal and external customers.

The role requires proficiency with measuring tools, fractions/decimals, and attention to safety. This is a 2nd shift position with potential overtime and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Operation of non-thermal processing equipment per procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Use of measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometer).
• Attention to quality and accuracy in output for internal/external customers.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a variety of non-thermal processing equipment (saws, shears, press brakes, rollers, digi-benders).
• Operate material handling equipment (forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog).
• Read drawings and work instructions to meet specifications.
• Utilize measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Maintain safe work practices and quality standards.
