Job summary

O'Neal Steel LLC is hiring a Machine Operator (Non-Thermal) for the 2nd shift at our Ambridge, PA facility. The role sets up and operates non-thermal processing equipment and uses computer-controlled machines to meet specifications.

You will read blueprints, measure with calipers and micrometers, and handle various equipment, ensuring quality output for internal and external customers. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate non-thermal processing equipment including, but not limited to, saws, shears, press brakes, rollers, and digi-benders.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of material handling equipment including, but not limited to, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as: tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract in fractions and decimals.
• Responsible for providing high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.

Responsibilities

• Following all safety guidelines and wearing all required personal protective equipment.
• Set up and operate a variety of non-thermal processing equipment; saw, shear, press brake, roller, digi-bender, etc.
• Operate a wide variety of material handling equipment, forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader, yard dog, etc.
• Read and interpret blueprints and following work instructions.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measure, box caliper, slide dial caliper, and micrometer.
• Convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, add and subtract fractions and decimals.
• Provide high quality work to all internal and external customers as related to the output of their position.
