Job summary

O'Neal Steel is seeking a Machine Operator (Thermal) for the 2nd shift in Jacksonville, FL. You will set up and operate thermal processing equipment (plasma, laser) and handle materials using forklifts and cranes, following blueprints and instructions to meet specifications.

The role requires reading drawings, using calipers and micrometers, and precise measurement work. Overtime may be required; background check and drug test may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a variety of thermal processing equipment including plasmas and lasers.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers, micrometer.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate thermal processing equipment such as plasma and laser.
• Operate material handling equipment including forklift and cranes.
• Read blueprints and follow work instructions.
