Job summary

O'Neal Steel in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Machine Operator for the non-thermal second shift to set up and operate non-thermal processing equipment, including saws, shears, press brakes, rollers, and digi-benders, following blueprints and specifications.

You will read blueprints, use tape measures, calipers, and micrometers, and ensure safety compliance while maintaining quality across internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a variety of non-thermal processing equipment including saws, shears, press brakes, rollers and digi-benders.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklift, overhead crane, stacker crane, side loader and yard dog.
• Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measure, calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to convert fractions to decimals and vice versa, and perform basic arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate non-thermal processing equipment to specification.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
• Read blueprints and work instructions for tasks.
• Operate material handling equipment and ensure timely output.
• Provide high quality work to internal and external customers.
