Job summary

Infinate Talent in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is seeking a State Director to lead the Minnesota market for a mission-driven nonprofit dedicated to opportunities for individuals with IDD through inclusive programs and community engagement.

You’ll own strategy, revenue, and program execution, supervise a four-person team, and serve as the organization’s public ambassador while growing donations and sustaining high-quality programs.

Qualifications

  • 4–7+ years of progressive fundraising experience with revenue growth across events, major gifts, and institutional giving.
  • Hands-on experience leading signature fundraising events and personally cultivating major gifts.
  • 3–5+ years of team leadership and supervisory experience with a track record of building strong teams.
  • Experience working with boards and volunteers, plus strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication; comfortable as a public spokesperson.
  • Genuine comfort engaging with individuals with IDD, willingness to work event evenings/weekends, and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Own and drive all revenue streams — a signature annual gala campaign (~$420K), an annual community walk (~$130K), foundation giving (~$113K), and individual & corporate giving (~$60K).
  • Develop and execute the annual statewide strategic plan, aligned with national priorities and local growth opportunities.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners as the market's lead fundraiser.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a four-person team, directly supervising a Director of Programs & Operations and a Development Coordinator.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality program delivery and volunteer engagement across all chapters, and strengthen advisory board and committee engagement.
  • Manage the state budget, forecasting, reporting, and operational infrastructure, and serve as the organization's primary public ambassador across Minnesota.

The State Director is the senior leader for the Minnesota market, owning strategy, revenue, program execution, team leadership, and public presence across the Twin Cities region. You'll manage a ~$740K operating budget, lead a four-person team, and drive a diversified revenue portfolio anchored by two signature events. This is a hands-on leadership seat for a fundraiser who can deliver results while keeping programs strong and relationships deep.
