Job summary

Dollar General in Tehachapi, CA is seeking a Manager on Duty to oversee the Non-Food Department and the overall store operations. You will ensure inventory accuracy, attractive merchandising, and high levels of customer service while maintaining a safe work environment.

As the on-duty leader, you will authorize refunds, supervise cash handling, train associates, manage scheduling, and support the Store Manager in daily tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to three years of retail clerk experience.
• Previous lead experience and/or grocery store experience preferred.
• Attainment of required local and state food handling certifications, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Authorize refunds and overrides and manage register counts.
• Maintain cash accountability and security practices.
• Manage store in absence of Store/Asst Manager.
• Train employees and assist in scheduling.
• Ensure Non-Food Dept operations and merchandising standards.
• Direct receiving, stocking, POG, and inventory control.
• Ensure safe and clean store environment.
• Provide excellent customer service.
