Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a non-ferrous laborer to physically handle, sort, and process non-ferrous metals in outdoor yard conditions. You will inspect materials, operate equipment, launder uniforms, and maintain inventory while following safety and environmental standards.

This role involves outdoor work, potential for bonuses, and opportunities for growth within SA Recycling. Prior labor experience in scrap metal or construction is preferred, and bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-year previous general labor in the scrap metal, mining, or construction industries preferred.
• Bi-lingual a plus.
• Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Identify, grade, sort, and process nonferrous materials.
• Provide a safe environment for all employees, customers, and visitors.
• Perform daily inspections on equipment reporting any defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
• General labor duties that may include but not limited to sweeping, shoveling and general clean-up of any area and/or equipment throughout the yard.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard as needed or assigned.
• Launder unifroms
• Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.

SA Recycling is looking for a non-ferrous laborer whos job is to physically handle, sort, and process non-ferrous metals. This role involves tasks such as inspecting materials, operating machinery, laundering, preparing metals for resale, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and keeping inventory records. In this role you will also handle.

This position will work outside in varying weather conditions, and SA Recycling strictly adheres to all Metals Recycling Business Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
