Job summary

Beehive Industries seeks an NDI Technician - FPI Level II to independently set up, perform, interpret, evaluate, and document fluorescent penetrant inspections on aerospace hardware in accordance with approved procedures and NAS 410 guidelines.

The Level II will act as a technical resource, providing guidance and supervision to trainees and Level I personnel, ensuring compliant, high-quality FPI work across processes and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience performing fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI) and interpreting indications.
• Ability to document results per procedures and standards.
• Knowledge of NAS 410 recommended for Level II technicians.

Role Overview

The NDI Technician - FPI Level II independently sets up, performs, interprets, evaluates, and documents fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI/PT) on aerospace hardware in accordance with approved procedures, applicable specifications, and Beehive Industries’ NDT written practice. The Level II serves as a technical resource for FPI execution, provides guidance and supervision to trainees and Level I personnel, and supports consistent, compliant special-process performance in accordance with NAS 410.

What You’ll Do…

• Set up, standardize, and independently perform fluorescent penetrant inspection (FPI/PT) in accordance with approved procedures, work instructions, drawings, and applicable customer or industry requirements.
• Interpret and evaluate FPI indications against applicable acceptance criteria, make acceptance or rejection determinations within assigned certification authority, and accurately document results.
