Job summary

SCA Health, part of Optum, is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to support operative procedures. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a Surgical Technologist course. Candidates should have two years of operating room experience; ASC experience and ORT certification are preferred. Training from U.S. armed forces or the National Guard is also recognized. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years operating room experience.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training program for surgical technology in US armed forces or National Guard or US Public Health Service.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
