Job summary

SCA Health is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist in Jacksonville, FL. You will function as a scrub person during operative and invasive procedures, prepare instruments and assist with room turnover to maintain surgical readiness.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, completion of a Surgical Technologist course, and two years of OR experience. ASC experience and ORT certification are preferred. Salary ranges from $26.00 to $36.00 per hour with standard benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course.
• Two years of operating room experience required.
• ASC experience preferred.
• ORT certification preferred.
• Training in surgical technology in the armed forces, National Guard, or US Public Health Service is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative room and preparation for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Surgical Technologist course

Two years operating room experience

ASC experience preferred

ORT certification preferred
