Job summary

SCA Health in Pinehurst, NC is hiring a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist to support sterile processing and operative rooms across our ambulatory centers.

The role performs scrub duties, prepares instruments, assists with room turnover, and supports surgical teams in a fast-paced ASC environment. Prior OR experience and relevant training are preferred, with additional certifications valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of Surgical Technologist course is required.
• Two years operating room experience is preferred.
• ASC experience is preferred.
• ORT certification is preferred.
• Training program for surgical technology in the armed forces of the United States, the National Guard or US Public Health Services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures.
• Clean and prepare surgical instruments for processing and transport to decontamination areas.
• Assist with post-procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and preparation of room for subsequent patients.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED certification

Completion of Surgical Technologist course

Two years previous operating room experience

ASC experience preferred

ORT certification preferred
