Job summary

Rumpke is seeking a Rear Load Driver (Non-CDL) to service customers with waste and recycling collection in Covington, KY. You’ll load, unload, and haul materials, perform pre/post trip inspections, and interact professionally with customers on a daily route.

The role requires reading maps, good communication skills, and the ability to operate trucks and pull trailers. Must be 19+, have a valid DOT card, and read/speak English proficiently. Company benefits are included and overtime may apply.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to drive while pulling a trailer.
• Must read/speak English well enough to communicate and follow safety training.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way, by emptying trash/recycling containers into truck and hauling to disposal site
• Routinely enter/exit the truck approximately 300-600 times per day, depending on the assigned route
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area
• Clean up waste spills and overflows
• Maintain and update route & driver log sheets
• Conduct pre-trip/post trip inspections and complete logs
• Professionally interact with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer service
• Clean waste from the packer blade and truck body and ensure cleanliness of truck cab
• Deliver trash or recycling containers as needed
• Manually load bulk items as needed
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck
• Operate other types of trucks as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
