SUMMARY

The Shag Driver will drive shag truck; pull and back 48 and 53-foot trailers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with Federal, State, County, City, OSHA and Company rules and regulations.
• S afely operate shag truck on the company property .
• Maintain required safety and ergonomic processes to insure a safe working environment and meet company goal of an injury free workplace.
• Drive shag truck; pull and back trailers . Must be able to spot the correct trailers in the correct docks.
• Use of electronic equipment to perform tasks and communicate with Logistics Manager.
• Physically wash out trailers as needed
• Maintain a wash and shag report .
• S et reefer units at proper temperatures.
• Must be able to follow directions
• Maintain truck cleanliness and track truck maintenance as needed.
• Understand and perform inspections of equipment as required by USDOT rules and regulations.
• Monitor truck parking lot
• Communicate issues with vendor trailers that are not working correctly.

EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma preferred but not required .

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Multiple actions in and out of truck to hook up and unhook trailers . Steps up and down from truck cab . Will occasionally park trucks; pull and lift up to 100 pounds .
