Job summary

Hog Slat, Inc. in Humboldt, IA, is seeking a Shag Truck Driver to move freight between warehouses and assist with loading. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure cargo is secured.
• Ensure safe operation of the Shag Truck on and off company property.
• Spot van and flatbed trailers in various yards, docks and pits.
• Assist with loading trailers with product and prepping freight for shipment.
• Operate a straight truck to move freight between warehouse locations.
• Use basic hand tools and mechanical aptitude when needed.
• Maintain professional conduct at all times.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to perform pre-trip inspection to ensure product is secured correctly
• Ensure safe operation of the Shag Truck on and off company property
• Spot van and flatbed trailers in various yards, docks and pits
• Assist with loading trailers with product and prepping freight for shipment
• Operate a straight truck to move freight between warehouse locations
• Necessary to have some mechanical aptitude
• Use of basic hand tools is a must
• Be professional and courteous at all times

Skill/Knowledge Required:

The ideal candidate will have the following experience/educational background:

• Must have a current/valid medical card or possess the ability to obtain one
• Must comply with all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Regulations
• Class A CDL is required
