Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart is hiring a non CDL driver to collect sharps and medical waste containers in the Taylor, MI area, delivering a reliable level of customer service daily. The role offers autonomy, consistent hours, and opportunities for overtime in a safety‑conscious team.

You will operate up to 26 ft box trucks, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and comply with DOT rules while building strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Non CDL Driving Experience required.
• Delivery experience within any industry with manual handling is a plus.
• Willingness to work full-time approx. 40 hours per week.
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Pass the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse 7 Year FADV review.
• Flexible, can-do attitude with strong customer focus.
• Experience operating vehicles up to 26 ft box trucks.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Confident in a road check levels 1–3.
• Proven longevity in past employment.
• On-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building positive relationships.
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner.
• Completing deliveries to scheduled times and communicating changes clearly.
• Loading and unloading; organizing the truck per schedule.
• Managing routes per leadership direction; delivering timely service.
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
