Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a Class B driver to operate a 26 ft box truck across the Taylor, MI area. You will collect sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare locations and provide a high level of customer service daily. The role offers autonomy, stable hours, potential OT and a strong benefits package.

Training and PPE are provided to ensure safe handling of medical waste. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, safe driving, timely deliveries, route management, and strict DOT

Qualifications

• CDL B license is required.
• Experience with delivery and manual handling.
• Willingness to work full-time (~40 hours/week).
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Familiarity with the DOT regulations, logging hours and inspections.
• Ability to operate a 26 ft box truck safely.
• Proven longevity in past employment and on-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Providing strong customer service and building positive relationships.
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner.
• Completing deliveries to the scheduled times and communicating changes.
• Loading and unloading according to the route needs.
• Managing a route per leadership direction and delivering timely service.
• Complying with DOT regulations and roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting as required by tasks.
