Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking an enthusiastic Class B driver to operate a 26 ft box truck in the Taylor, MI area, collecting sharps and medical waste containers from healthcare locations and delivering service with a customer-first focus.

You will enjoy a high degree of autonomy, stable hours, access to overtime, and comprehensive benefits. The role is full-time, with a set rate of $25 per hour and a $3k sign-on bonus for new hires.

Qualifications

• CDL B license is required.
• Delivery experience with manual handling is a plus but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work full-time (~40 hours/week).
• Experience with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Must pass the 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Flexible, can-do attitude with strong customer focus.
• Experience operating up to 26 ft box trucks safely.
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Confident with road checks levels 1–3.
• Proven longevity in past employment and on-time delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers at customer locations.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
• Operate vehicles in a safe manner.
• Complete deliveries to the scheduled time and communicate changes or challenges.
• Load and unload and organize the truck per schedule.
• Manage a route per leadership direction and deliver timely service.
• Comply with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting as required.
