Job summary

Daniels Health & Sharpsmart in Taylor, MI is seeking a non CDL driver to safely collect and deliver medical waste containers across our healthcare customer locations. You will provide strong customer service, operate a 26 ft box truck, and follow DOT regulations with pre/post-trip inspections.

The role offers stable hours (Mon-Fri, ~40 hours), overtime potential, and a $3,000 sign-on bonus ($1k after 30 days, $2k after 90 days).

Qualifications

• Non CDL driving experience required.
• Delivery experience in any industry with manual handling is a plus.
• Willingness to work full-time approx. 40 hours/week.
• Experience with pre-trip & post-trip vehicle evaluations.
• Passing the 7 Year FADV review in the Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Flexible, can-do attitude with strong customer focus.
• Experience operating vehicles safely (up to 26 ft box trucks).
• Experience with DOT compliance, logging hours & roadside inspections.
• Confident in Road Check level 1–3.

Responsibilities

• Safely collecting, delivering and storing medical waste containers.
• Provide strong customer service and build positive customer relationships.
• Operating vehicles in a safe manner.
• Complete deliveries on schedule and communicate changes or challenges clearly.
• Loading and unloading and organizing the truck per schedule and needs.
• Managing a route per leadership direction and delivering timely service.
• Complying with DOT regulations, logging hours and roadside inspections.
• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs, with occasional lifting 50-75 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling 100-250 lbs, as applicable to the role.
