Job summary

U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) in Richmond, VA, is seeking a full-time Driver to join our team. This role requires safe, on-time deliveries, routine vehicle checks, and strict DOT compliance on a first shift starting at 5 AM.

You will support dispatcher communications, complete delivery logs, and handle out-of-state mileage records while maintaining high customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate warehouse equipment.
• Strong independence and reliability are required.
• Valid driver's license and current DOT medical card needed.
• Customer service experience and driving experience are essential.

Responsibilities

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance daily and ensure logs are completed.
• Comply with all DOT regulations and complete required paperwork.
• Inform dispatcher of problems or delays during delivery runs.
• Complete all delivery documentation, including logs and customer signatures.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations.
• Advise management of problems or delays on the route.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our team. This position will be located in Richmond, VA

Job Type: Full-time

Shift: 1st Shift (5AM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance on a daily basis, including insuring proper loading and drivers logs being completed.
• Complying with all D.O.T. regulations. Completing all required company and D.O.T. paperwork.
• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays as they occur during your delivery run.
• Complete all documentation for deliveries including preparation of logs, customer signatures on logs, and out of state mileage logs.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicles.
• Advise management of problems or delays during your delivery route.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment
• Must be strongly independent
• Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to obtain a current DOT medical card
• Customer Service Experience and Driving Experience
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of customers, providing excellent customer service
