The ideal candidate holds a valid driver's license with a current DOT medical card, has experience operating a 26-foot box truck, and delivers strong customer service while adhering to DOT regulations. Full-time employment with comprehensive benefits is offered.

Responsibilities

• Make all deliveries safely and professionally.
• Pick up material from Central Distribution Center and transfer to branch.
• Complete local deliveries to job sites.
• Check vehicles daily for safety and maintenance; ensure loading and driver logs.
• Comply with DOT regulations and complete all required paperwork.
• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays during runs.
• Prepare logs and obtain customer signatures; record out-of-state mileage.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or violations to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our team. This position will be located in Landover, MD.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.


• Pick up material from our Central Distribution Center and transfer it to the branch location.


• Complete local deliveries to job sites.


• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance on a daily basis, including insuring proper loading and drivers logs being completed.


• Complying with all D.O.T. regulations. Completing all required company and D.O.T. paperwork.


• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays as they occur during your delivery run.


• Complete all documentation for deliveries including preparation of logs, customer signatures on logs, and out of state mileage logs.


• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicles.


• Advise management of problems or delays during your delivery route.


• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment


• Experience operating a 26-foot box truck


• Must be strongly independent.


• Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to obtain a current DOT medical card.


• Customer Service Experience and Driving Experience


• Must be able to communicate with all levels of customers, providing excellent customer service
