U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) seeks a driven Delivery Driver in Poughkeepsie, NY to safely handle daily deliveries. You will inspect vehicles, maintain logs, and ensure DOT rules are followed while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate warehouse equipment.
• Strong independent work ethic and customer service skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and obtain a current DOT medical card.
• Experience driving and delivering goods to customers is required.

Responsibilities

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Check vehicles for safety and daily maintenance; complete logs and loading checks.
• Comply with DOT regulations and complete all required paperwork.
• Inform dispatcher of problems or delays during deliveries.
• Prepare delivery logs, obtain customer signatures, and track out-of-state mileage.
• Report vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Manager.

USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our team. This position will be located in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance on a daily basis, including insuring proper loading and drivers logs being completed.
• Complying with all D.O.T. regulations. Completing all required company and D.O.T. paperwork.
• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays as they occur during your delivery run.
• Complete all documentation for deliveries including preparation of logs, customer signatures on logs, and out of state mileage logs.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicles.
• Advise management of problems or delays during your delivery route.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment
• Must be strongly independent
• Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to obtain a current DOT medical card
• Customer Service Experience and Driving Experience
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of customers, providing excellent customer service
