Job summary

U.S. Electrical Services, Inc. (USESI) in Landover, Maryland is seeking an Overnight Driver to join our logistics team.

You will make all deliveries safely, pick up materials from the distribution center, and transfer them to branch locations while maintaining daily vehicle checks and logs. The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to obtain a DOT medical card, and strong independent work and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a current DOT medical card.
• Experience operating a 26‑foot box truck.
• Customer service experience and ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Make all deliveries safely and professionally.
• Pick up material from the Central Distribution Center and transfer to the branch.
• Complete local deliveries to job sites.
• Check vehicles for safety and maintenance daily; ensure logs and loading are correct.

USESI is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Driver to join our team. This position will be located in Landover, Maryland.

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: OVERNIGHT 9:00pm-5:30am

Key Responsibilities:

• Make all deliveries in a safe, professional, and courteous manner.
• Pick up material from our Central Distribution Center and transfer it to the branch location.
• Complete local deliveries to job sites.
• Check vehicles for safety and proper maintenance on a daily basis, including insuring proper loading and drivers logs being completed.
• Complying with all D.O.T. regulations. Completing all required company and D.O.T. paperwork.
• Advise dispatcher of problems or delays as they occur during your delivery run.
• Complete all documentation for deliveries including preparation of logs, customer signatures on logs, and out of state mileage logs.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations or damage to the vehicles.
• Advise management of problems or delays during your delivery route.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment
• Experience operating a 26-foot box truck
• Must be strongly independent.
• Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to obtain a current DOT medical card.
• Customer Service Experience and Driving Experience
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of customers, providing excellent customer service
