Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO invites applications for a Nocturnist - NP/PA Instructor in Emergency Medicine. This full-time role provides care in the ED, with a predominant night schedule and night differential, collaborating with Faculty Attendings on complex cases.

The successful candidate will hold an active CO license as PA or NP, possess a Master’s degree, and meet post-graduate emergency medicine qualifications.

Qualifications

• Active and current license to practice as physician assistant or nurse practitioner in Colorado.
• Master's degree for PA/NP.
• Certification by national certifying bodies for PA/NP.

Responsibilities

• Performs histories and H&Ps on episodic, low-acuity ED patients as delegated by physicians.
• Collects and correlates data to assist medical management.
• Triages and monitors patients, referencing appropriate care.
• Schedules patients for procedures and provides education.
• Administers medicines and therapeutic agents as directed.
• Supports quality and compliance initiatives.
