Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus seeks an Instructor NP/PA for Emergency Medicine to provide patient care in the ED. The role supports supervision and collaboration with faculty, including handling triage, assessments, and care planning for ESI 3-4 patients in a SuperTrack/Clinical Decision Unit setting.

The position requires Colorado PA/NP license, a CAHEAP ARC-PA-accredited education, BLS/ACLS/ATLS certs, and a Master's degree with 1+ year ED experience.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado license to practice as physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
• CAAHEP/ARC-PA-accredited PA/NP program completion.
• Current national certifications for PA/NP practice.
• BLS, ACLS and ATLS certifications required by 4/1/2026.
• Master's degree required for PA/NP.
• Minimum of one year clinical emergency care experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct histories and physicals for episodic, low-acuity ED patients as directed by physicians.
• Review and correlate data to assist in medical decision making.
• Triaging and monitoring patients; refer for appropriate care as needed.
