Job summary

University of Colorado Anschutz in Aurora, CO seeks a nocturnist NP/PA Instructor in Emergency Medicine to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ED. The role focuses on nocturnal coverage in a Super Track/Clinical Decision Unit setting, collaborating with faculty Attendings on complex cases.

Qualified candidates hold PA/NP licensure in Colorado, BLS/ACLS/ATLS, and a Master’s degree with at least one year of ED/urgent care experience.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado license to practice as PA or NP.
• CAAHEP/ARC-PA certification as applicable.
• ATLS required by time of hire; ACLS and BLS current.

Responsibilities

• Performs histories and physicals on ED patients as delegated by physicians.
• Collects and reviews data to aid medical decision making.
• Triages and monitors patients and refers for appropriate care.
• Schedules patients for appointments and procedures; participates in patient education.
• Performs direct patient care as needed and administers therapies as directed.
• Contributes to quality improvement and compliance with regulatory standards.
