TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level contractor in San Antonio, TX, to join the NOC. You will focus on incident management, monitoring across data centers and 70+ branches, and coordinating with various teams to minimize outages.

Core Responsibilities: Incident Management: The role is heavily focused on incident management. This includes identifying issues, confirming their impact, performing initial triage, and coordinating with the appropriate technical teams to resolve them. System and Network Monitoring: The candidate will be responsible for monitoring server health, network connectivity between data centers and over 70 branch locations, and the health of critical third-party services. Communication and Coordination: A key part of the job is communicating with various teams, including the service desk and application support, primarily through Microsoft Teams. The person in this role will also be responsible for initiating calls to bring technical teams together to address outages. Ticketing and Documentation: The role requires submitting outage notifications through their ticketing system, "Cyrus," and contributing to the documentation of NOC processes. Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds: Primarily for network connectivity monitoring. SquaredUp: Used for server monitoring. Dynatrace: A newer agent-based monitoring tool for Virtual Machines (VMs). Internal Dashboard System: Monitors messages and transactions between distributed and mainframe systems. Building Management System: A read-only system for monitoring things like HVAC. Cyrus: Their current ticketing system for submitting outage notifications.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
