Innova Solutions is seeking a NOC Technician to monitor and manage network incidents from Annapolis, MD. This full-time position starts as a contract and may extend or convert to hire depending on performance.

The role requires Network+ certification, TCP/IP knowledge, and experience with Cisco devices. Candidates should have 1–2 years of related work or an AA/AS degree with essential networking training.

Qualifications

• Network+ certification required.
• 2 years experience with HS Diploma/GED or 1–2 years with AA/AS or equivalent.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, networking hardware and interfacing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network management system and coordinate with telecom providers for restoral.
• Track incidents and update incident management tool promptly.
• Troubleshoot routine to moderate issues with limited scope.
• Oversee high availability IP networks and messaging systems.
• Escalate complex issues with guidance from senior team members.
• Identify resolutions for routine queries and document outcomes.
• Assist seniors to resolve moderate to high impact customer service issues.

Job description

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a NOC Technician. Position type: Full-time, Contract to possible extension or hire. Duration: 6 Months. Location: Annapolis, MD. Shifts: 3pm-11:30pm EST.

As a Network Technician (NOC) you will:

• Monitors network management system and engage telecom providers to drive restoral efforts.
• Tracks incident details and keeps information updated in the incident management tool in a timely manner with accurate information.
• Solves systems and network problems/questions with limited scope and complexity.
• Applies technical knowledge to oversee high availability IP networks, messaging systems.
• Identifies resolutions of routine technical queries.
• Takes guidance from other team members or management to resolve fewer routine issues.
• Works with Senior Team Members to resolve moderate to complex issues with critical customer services.
• Monitors and troubleshoots system performance, troubleshoots, resolves, or escalates network issues.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Network+ Certification.
• HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience OR AA/AS degree or other 2-year post high school training with a minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols, computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing.
• Knowledge and understanding of ITIL/ITSM concepts and practices.
• Experience troubleshooting Cisco devices.

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range and Benefits:

Pay Range*: $30/hr to $33/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
