Innova Solutions is hiring a Network Technician for a 6-month contract in San Francisco, CA. The role involves cabling, hardware installation and troubleshooting of network equipment, with MAC task handling and customer interface responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 5 years in data communications, knowledge of Cisco phones/switches/routers, and LAN/WAN basics. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Patch cabling between network equipment and customer network.
• Install power cables from equipment to power supplies in racks/cabinets/closets.
• Install, troubleshoot and de-install network equipment.
• Install and swap devices (phones, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches).
• Install, troubleshoot, and de-install Network General remote Sniffers.
• Complete MAC requests within defined service levels.
• Interface between customer associates and management.
• Provide hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure.
• Perform onsite call-through, data/voice/website and security testing.
• Conduct backup testing to ensure systems connect to customer network.

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Network Technician. Position type: Full Time - Contract role Duration: 6 Months Location: San Francisco, CA

As a Network Technician, you will:

• Be patching cabling between network equipment and customer's network.
• Be installing the power cables from equipment to power supply in rack/cabinet/closet.
• Be installing, troubleshooting and de-installing network equipment.
• Be installing/swapping out devices (e.g., phone, computers, cables, boards, edge routers, switches and etc.).
• Be installing, troubleshooting, and de-installing Network General remote Sniffers.
• Be completing all hard and complex Move, Add Change (MAC) requests within the defined service levels.
• Be acting as interface between customer's associates and management.
• Be providing hardware break-fix services for network infrastructure.
• Be performing onsite call-through, data, voice, website and security testing.
• Be performing back-up testing to ensure all systems are connected to the customer's network as directed.

The ideal candidate will have:

• 5 years of experience in data communications.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco Phones, switches and routers
• Basic knowledge of local and wide area networking.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in utilizing technical tools such as Sniffers, BERT testers, cable testers, and fiber testers.
• Familiar with 66 Block and 110 Block cross connect procedures.
• Understand cable patching processes and procedures.

Pay Range and Benefits:

Pay Range*: $26 - $28/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
