Job summary

GuideIT, a US-based technology services company, is seeking a NOC Team Lead to direct and mentor the Level 1 NOC team. The role monitors infrastructure across environments 24/7/365, performs initial troubleshooting, and escalates issues to Level 2/3 engineers.

Reports to the Infrastructure Operations Leader in a collaborative, detail-oriented setting. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, strong communication, and a sense of ownership during critical events, with experience in Windows

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.
• Proven leadership capabilities, including scheduling, coaching, and mentoring NOC team members.
• Strong ITIL knowledge and PCI compliance experience.
• Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016/2019 and basic networking concepts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monitoring and patching of infrastructure equipment, including servers, WAPs, switches, and firewalls.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure team to address downed devices and high-priority incidents.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure leader to identify opportunities for shift-left from Level 2/3 to Level 1.
• Ensure thorough documentation for each ticket and facilitate escalations as needed.
• Support investigations into data anomalies to identify root causes.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of software and web-based applications and document accordingly.
• Lead Level 1 infrastructure activities following established procedures.
• Identify gaps in procedures and ensure well-written SOPs for common events.
