Job summary

Akima Global Technology (AGT) seeks an experienced NOC Tier 1 Shift Lead to oversee a team of technicians on assigned shifts. In a 24/7 environment, you will coordinate tasks, guide staff, and ensure rapid resolution of network issues while maintaining service quality.

You will work with customers, technical teams, and vendors, leveraging strong networking know-how to keep LAN/WAN operations stable and reliable. A background clearance and certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain CBP Background Investigation clearance is required.
• Certifications: ITIL v3, CompTIA, CCNA.
• Minimum five years of Tier 1 support experience.
• Strong network fundamentals: TCP/IP, routing, topology, basic troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Tier 1 NOC technicians during shifts.
• Coordinate task assignments, guide technicians, and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure 24/7 monitoring, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Maintain operational efficiency and network stability.
• Support complex PCs and LAN/WAN networks across the organization.
• Test and evaluate hardware and software for performance and compatibility.
• Analyze test data and recommend purchases for hardware or software.
• Perform work with minimal supervision; escalate only the most complex issues.
