Find Great People | FGP is seeking a Network Engineer to support and troubleshoot network environments across multiple client sites. This role emphasizes network operations, wireless troubleshooting, incident resolution, and proactive customer support.

The ideal candidate has experience in enterprise networks, thrives in a ticket-driven environment, and can confidently resolve Layer 2/3 and wireless issues.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting enterprise networking environments through a ticketing or NOC-style workflow.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting wireless networking issues.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs.
• Routing and switching fundamentals.
• Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting.
• Experience with wireless access points, SSIDs, authentication methods, and wireless security standards.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot connectivity problems and identify root cause.
• Excellent customer communication skills and experience supporting end users or customers directly.

Responsibilities

• Provide network support through help desk tickets, phone calls, and incident response.
• Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues across multiple client environments.
• Support and maintain firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and other network infrastructure devices.
• Investigate and resolve Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking issues.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify service-impacting issues.
• Work directly with internet service providers, vendors, and third-party partners during troubleshooting efforts.
• Participate in a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
• Document troubleshooting processes, configurations, and resolutions.
• Assist with network deployments, upgrades, and hardware implementations.
• Support wireless network optimization initiatives and performance improvements.
