Job summary

ASM Research is seeking a NOC Network Administrator, Mid, to maintain servers, core services, and supporting tools within a network operations center to ensure reliable, highly available operations for mission-critical services.

Responsibilities include monitoring performance, applying patches, backups, troubleshooting, access control, and coordinating with security teams for 24/7 coverage. U.S. citizenship and SECRET clearance are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
4–7 years of system administration or NOC operations experience.
Strong proficiency with Windows and Linux OS.
Experience with virtualization, monitoring, and backup/recovery solutions.
Ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues under 24x7 pressure.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
US citizenship with ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
Willing to work swing (2P-10:30P ET) or night shifts; 24/7 coverage.

Responsibilities

Administer Windows and Linux servers in production for NOC operations.
Monitor system performance and address capacity, availability, and stability issues.
Implement and validate patching, backup, and recovery procedures.
Troubleshoot complex infra issues with OS, virtualization, storage, coordinating with teams.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls per security policies.
Operate NOC tools: monitoring, logging, ticketing; ensure availability and integration.
Document architectures, configs, changes, incidents for repeatable operations.
Provide tier 2/3 support and guidance to junior staff.
