Strong communication and English proficiency are essential, with CPR certification and CA licensure in good standing. Responsibilities include admissions, rounds, medication administration, plan of care updates, and CNA supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or an approved LVN program.
• Current nursing licensure in good standing with the State licensing board.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide quality patient care in accordance with applicable standards, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to identify and report problems, use initiative and good judgment.
• Knowledge of nursing principles and practices to ensure quality of care.
• Willingness to work with professional and non-professional personnel; proficient in English.
• Valid CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care as prescribed by physician/health care professional within scope and standards.
• Administers professional services and contributes to the nursing care plan.
• Admits, transfers, and discharges residents per policy.
• Orients new residents/families as necessary.
• Gives/receives nursing reports and reviews daily patient assignments.
• Maintains unit cleanliness and safety for resident comfort.
• Conducts daily rounds to observe resident status and documentation.
• Documents care information accurately in the medical record.
• Assists in developing and updating Plans of Care.
• Notifies physicians and supervisors of significant changes and incidents.
• Supervises CNAs and participates in care conferences and meetings.
