Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking a NOC Daily Ops Analyst to evaluate disruptions and support the Planning Team with data-driven recommendations. You will partner with NOC stakeholders and use what-if analyses to understand potential IROPS events and minimize impact.

Based at our Dallas, TX headquarters, this role requires collaboration across groups, proficiency with Excel/Tableau/SQL, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable operational insights.

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of business analysis, process modeling and redesign.
• Skilled in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
• Skilled in consensus-building
• Skilled in visualizing data to drive insights using tools such as MS Excel, Tableau, etc.
• Skilled in tools such as SQL, Alteryx, Excel, and Tableau.
• Ability to solve complex problems
• Ability to independently prioritize assignments and shift focus quickly based on the need of the operation
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees up to executive levels
• Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships and lead through influence

Responsibilities

• Align on analytical requests, expectations, and priorities.
• Provide advanced analytical expertise to support the Network Operations Control department with analytical requests (what-if scenarios, modelling, data pulls etc.).
• Develop tools to provide solutions to recurrent analytical requests.
• Provide additional analytical support to the Disruption Pod and other adjacent groups as needed.
