Job summary

Horizon Center San Diego is seeking a Health Aide/Caregiver to assist residents with daily living activities, provide companionship, and support overall well-being in a compassionate care setting.

This role emphasizes teamwork, empathy, and adherence to safety and care standards, with a focus on serving the underserved community in San Diego. Training and background checks are required, with a supportive management team and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as caregiver or support staff is a plus.
• Incorporating Harm Reduction, Informed Trauma Training and De-escalation techniques.
• Compassionate and patient attitude toward diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
• Help with meal preparation, serving, and feeding assistance as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment in resident living areas.
• Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff.
