Job summary

LA Networks is seeking a Network Operations Center Engineer II in Los Angeles to join our engineering team. You will provide Level 1 and 2 support for network alerts, monitor client networks, and collaborate with Senior Engineers and Cisco TAC to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has a CCNA certification, working knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, and Cisco IOS configuration. Eagerness to learn and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Active CCNA certification required or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant networking experience valued.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing and switching, and Cisco IOS.
  • Ability to use standard network troubleshooting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Level 1 and 2 support for network alerts and related problems.
  • Troubleshoot network issues and monitor managed client networks.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and log review of network and security appliances.
  • Install and configure network devices: routers, switches, firewalls, etc.
  • Escalates advanced issues to Cisco TAC and Senior Engineers.

The position of NOC Engineer II requires an engineering-focused technical professional who will provide technical support and guidance to customers. The ideal candidate is technical with some hands-on experience, customer focused, proactive, with the drive and determination to learn about emerging network and security technologies. This position is suited to an entry-level engineer looking to expand their knowledge and grow their career.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to use essential network troubleshooting tools

Preferred Experience

2+ years of hands-on experience working with Cisco networking equipment, including troubleshooting of network-related issues including documentation.
