Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking a Plastic Surgeon in Baton Rouge, LA to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This no-call, Monday–Friday role offers full-time or part-time options with per-patient and per-procedure pay plus bonuses.

You will manage surgical debridement, wound assessment, and advanced dressing protocols, while enjoying autonomy and absence of corporate overhead. Louisiana licensed physicians with strong wound expertise are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the practicing state is required or eligibility.
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and bedside debridement and other wound-related procedures.
• Assess and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Use advanced dressings and specialized wound care protocols.
• Collaborate with SNFs and post-acute facilities to monitor patient healing.
