Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Vascular Surgeon to lead wound-care initiatives while maintaining your vascular expertise. This role offers a no-call Monday–Friday schedule, with options for part-time or full-time work and generous compensation.

You will perform bedside debridement, manage arterial/venous ulcers, and collaborate with facilities across the region. MD or DO, a state medical license and a DEA license are required; training is provided for wound care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open Background: Wound care training provided; prior wound care experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Surgical and bedside debridement and other procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing wounds including arterial, venous and diabetic ulcers.
• Advanced dressings and wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings to follow healing.
