Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Arlington, VA is seeking a Trauma Surgeon to join as a wound care physician, leading wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a no-call, Monday–Friday style in a practical setting with the flexibility of full-time or part-time arrangements.

The ideal candidate has an MD or DO, an unrestricted license, and DEA eligibility. Training in wound care is provided, with a performance-based compensation structure and opportunities to advance within the

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Trauma and Acute Care Surgeons and surgeons of all backgrounds, as well as Family Medicine and Internal Medicine physicians. No previous wound care experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds, including pressure injuries and post-surgical wounds
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
