Job summary

Skilled Wound Care is seeking a General Surgeon in Alexandria, LA to lead wound care initiatives across skilled nursing facilities. This role offers a no-call lifestyle, weekday schedule, and autonomy over patient care.

Your surgical skills remain central, with debridement and bedside procedures integrated into daily practice. We emphasize clinical autonomy and reduced administrative burdens so you can focus on patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open background welcomed; comprehensive wound care training provided.

Responsibilities

• Surgical debridement and bedside procedures as part of wound care.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound care protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and post-acute settings.
