Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Alexandria, LA is seeking Acute Care Surgeons to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities and provide bedside procedures. This role emphasizes clinical autonomy and a no-call, Monday–Friday schedule outside traditional trauma systems.

MD or DO with an unrestricted license (or eligibility) and a DEA license are required. You’ll work with state-licensed facilities and have generous earnings potential in a flexible practice model.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Unrestricted medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Surgical debridement and bedside procedures are performed daily.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing, and complex wounds.
• Apply advanced dressings and wound protocols as part of patient care.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities and post-acute teams to manage healing.
