Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Alexandria, LA is seeking a Plastic Surgeon to lead wound care initiatives, perform debridement, and manage chronic wounds in skilled nursing facilities. This role offers autonomy, avoids corporate overhead, and focuses on patient care in a no-call, Monday–Friday setting.

Candidates must hold an MD or DO, have an unrestricted state license (or eligibility), and be prepared to receive wound care training.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Unrestricted/clear medical license in state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Perform surgical and bedside debridement and other procedures.
• Evaluate and treat chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Utilize advanced dressings and wound protocols in patient care.
• Collaborate with skilled nursing facilities to follow patients through healing.
