Job summary

Skilled Wound Care in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring General Surgeons to lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities. The role offers a no-night, no-call schedule with flexible full-time or part-time options, letting you focus on high-impact surgical care outside traditional hospital settings.

You will perform debridement, bedside procedures, and manage chronic wounds while retaining clinical autonomy and reduced administrative burden thanks to our streamlined documentation.

Qualifications

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility).
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one.
• Open Background: We welcome General Surgeons of all backgrounds and provide comprehensive wound care training.

Responsibilities

• Surgical debridement and bedside procedures.
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds.
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols.
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing.
