The Nebraska Rural Transformation Initiative (NE Dept HHS) has funded Dr. Heelan and her colleagues to package the Nebraska Kids Fitness and Nutrition (NKFND) program. This program provides nutrition education and physical activity programs throughout rural Nebraska communities. The Project Coordinator will work directly with faculty and established researchers at UNMC and UNK to assist in the development of nutrition and physical activity curriculum in accordance with this program. The coordinator will assist Dr. Heelan with administrative responsibilities regarding this project, including but not limited to:
Associate's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Exercise Science, Public Health, or a related field. (Will consider six years related education/experience)
4 years project/program coordination, community outreach, and/or workforce development experience. (Will consider six years related education/experience)
